(CFAL) has successfully relaunched its Junior Investor Program, welcoming dozens of student registrants from high schools across The Bahamas, including students from at least two Family Islands. The program, which was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic, returns as part of CFAL’s continued commitment to financial literacy and the development of the next generation of Bahamian investors. The relaunch took place ahead of the programme’s official start on October 19, 2026, with final registration open until October 16. The CFAL Junior Investor Program is an educational competition designed to give senior high school students practical exposure to personal finance, saving, investing and the financial markets. Through online learning modules, quizzes and hands-on investment activities, participants will develop a better understanding of how financial decisions are made and how investment portfolios are managed. As part of the competition, students will have the opportunity to manage a simulated investment portfolio, research securities and explain the reasoning behind their investment decisions. Participating schools will compete for cash prizes, giving students the opportunity to apply what they learn while competing for a financial award for their school. Beyond the competitive element, the program aims to equip young people with knowledge and skills that can support them well beyond the classroom. By introducing students to financial concepts before they enter adulthood, CFAL hopes to encourage informed decision-making, responsible money management and an early appreciation for the importance of investing. Nassau, Bahamas, November 19, 2025: Colina Financial Advisors Ltd. (CFAL) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the $100 million bond offering for Island Power Producers (IPP), marking another significant milestone for the innovative energy company which is licensed to develop a LNG-powered, shore-side energy plant to supply clean, reliable electricity to cruise ships docked at the Nassau Cruise Port. The offering closed on November 14 and the company accepted an additional $12 million in oversubscriptions. Confirmations will be emailed to investors by Friday November 21, 2025. This bond offering follows the successful retail equity share offering completed in August through the CFAL Private Equity Fund, which was also oversubscribed, raising $12 million in equity. With the equity component now finalized and the bond financing secured, IPP is well positioned to advance the development of its LNG-powered shore-side energy plant.
